YW Camp Bingo Bead Pins

Updated: Jul 15

Want a fun and creative way to encourage your young women campers to participate in more camp activities and just make it fun to do so? I loved the idea of doing a bingo card they mark off, but I wanted to do something just a little different than that.

So, I came across an idea to do safety pins where the girls add on beads for each activity.

I ordered some simple supplies off Amazon (all you need are larger safety pins and beads) and then created a coordinating template so the girls would know which beads match which activity.

You can use the same CANVA TEMPLATE to make your own version!

The template includes the papers to print off and put in each bead compartment:

As well as 4x6 cards that you can tape the pins to (if you want the girls to have an individual "bingo" sheet).

Don't feel like you have to limit it to camp activities. You could also do this a camp scavenger hunt or do a variation of these for secret sisters (I like the idea of doing acts of service).

Love this idea? Share comments below on how you plan on using the template!

AMAZON SUPPLIES: Beads (There are a LOT of beads in this so you can us extras for bracelets or jewelry (or save for future years)

2.2" Safety Pins (This size fits one of each bead perfectly! I did try out a larger safety pin that had no coil but the beads did NOT fit. So if you use a coil-less safety pin you will need to find different beads).

For us, we had key rings on bags each of the girls received so I'll be encouraging the girls to put the pins on these rings.

I did take a photo of the pin with every bead color and attached to fabric for comparison.

We have camp this next week and I really don't think all the girls will collect every color so I don't see this as an issue, but if they do get each color, it's probably not reasonable to also attach to fabric with this size.
